Seahorse is a family-oriented business, and it’s been that way for over 30 years now. The store has changed its location a couple of times, along with being remodeled several times, and the type of service has also changed. Seahorse started out as “The House of Arf”, specializing - at the very beginning - in dog grooming, but we’ve certainly changed and grown a lot over the years! We’ve steadily added new products and animals, and broadened our horizons to meet the needs of pet-lovers of every kind! We’ve changed a lot, but some things never change like the commitment to the well-being of our animals and our highly-respected customer service.

Lloyd Mason, owner of Seahorse Inc., started his grooming business and then his little fish business many years ago while always working hard to make his customers happy. His philosophy was, and still is today, that good business means delivering to your customer healthy animals, a good quality product, giving them the most for their money, and doing it in a friendly and honest way.



At Seahorse, Inc., we apply our high standards to not only our business practices, but to our products, as well, including dry goods and live animals. It’s because of our high standards that we have chosen to buy our puppies and kittens only from local breeders and to never buy out-of-state puppies or from puppy mills. We usually get new Marine and Tropical Fish orders in every other week, so we can provide a full and top-notch selection. It is clearly evident, from the way we keep and maintain all our animals, that the health and well being of the animals is a top priority. And, it is obvious to us that you, our customers, feel much the same way and that is why we have been doing business together for more than 30 years.
